Modifier Groups

Portal → 4-Dot Menu → Data Management → Ordering Settings → Modifiers → Modifier Groups

To create a modifier group:

From the menu pane on the left, select a page and define the respective settings.

The following introduces the pages of the Modifier Groups editor.

Page	Description
General	Define general settings for a modifier group including its active status.
POS Display	Define how a modifier group appears on the Ordering application menus.
Modifiers	Add modifiers to a modifier group.

General

From the General section of the modifier group, define the following:

Field	Description
Name	Type a name for the modifier group.
ID	Type a numeric ID for the modifier group.
Minimum to Select	Type the minimum number of modifiers the order taker must select from this modifier group when modifying an order item. Use the -/+ controls to adjust the number as needed.
Maximum to Select	Type the maximum number of modifiers the order taker can select from this group when modifying an order item. Use the -/+ controls to adjust the number as needed.
Allow Bypass Modifier Group	Toggle On to allow employees at the POS to bypass selecting the required modifiers in this modifier group when modifying an order item. Order takers who enter orders at a terminal and prepare the food may find it more efficient to bypass the selection of required item modifiers. This feature only applies to employees with the Order.Modifier.BypassForced permission enabled for their role.
Active	Toggle to Active if the modifier group is available at the site. Multi-site users: To the right of the field, select the globe icon to define values for each site.
Print in red (where available)	Select this option if modifier items in this group should be printed in red ink on receipts and grill tickets. This setting is dependent on the capabilities of the printer.

From the POS Display section of the modifier group, configure the appearance of the modifier group on the Ordering application menus.

Field	Description
Maximum Rows	Type the maximum number of modifier group rows to display on the Ordering application menu. If no value is specified, all modifiers in a group are displayed regardless of how many rows are required to display all modifiers.
Start on New Row	Toggle On to always start the modifier group on a new row even if it could fit on the same row as another group.
Color 1	Select the background color for the modifier buttons.
Color 2	Select the text color for the modifier buttons.
Text color	Select the color for the menu item button text.

To add modifiers to a modifier group:

From the Modifiers section of the modifier group, select Add Modifiers.
From the Add Modifiers window, select the modifiers.
From the lower-right, select Add [#] Modifiers.
From the Modifiers section, select and drag the control to the left of the listed modifiers to sort them in the desired sequence.
